More info: Register

U.S. Senator Roy Blunt of Missouri, the Architect of the Capitol, and the U.S. Capitol Historical Society are proud to host this hybrid in-person and livestreamed commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Ulysses S. Grant, President of the United States and Commander of the U.S. Army during the Civil War. 2022 also marks 100 years since the dedication of the Grant Memorial, located along the U.S. Capitol Reflecting Pool and recently restored by the Architect of the Capitol to its former glory.

During this event, we will celebrate Grant's contributions that saved the Republic, and we will discuss modern historians' reexamination of the man once held in equal-esteem with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Speakers include Senator Blunt, the 12th Architect of the Capitol J. Brett Blanton, and Ronald C. White, Ph.D., author of the New York Times bestselling biography American Ulysses.

Please register to attend either in-person or via livestream. If you have any questions about this program please email USCHS@USCHS.org.
